FAQs
We
use perfect binding
hand bound perfect binding - assembled and bound by hand to exacting standards
for increased durability and longevity. Single sheets are collated and bound
at the edge using a binding method which enables the adhesive to penetrate
into the spine itself, giving a very strong hold on the internal pages.
Endpapers
We use 270gsm (or 160gsm in the small photo book) wove ivory endpapers -
deluxe heavyweight smooth paper in ivory colour. Endpapers are the pages
that go between the cover and book block. they hold the book into its covers.
The cover - boards
We use high quality board for covers - to provide ample protection for the
internal leaves. Cheap cover boards impair the life of your book. Read more
facts about our books.
The cover - fabric
We print to satin book cloth from which your cover is made. This ensures
the best possible finish and effectively means your image IS the cover.
